The current solo minting engines delivers a bad user experience. Suggesting upgrade to Unified Collateral Pool.
The new Unified Collateral Pool minting engine will be easier to user, easier to add new Collateral asset.

I tend to agree on the need. There are still many open points on how to implement it at best. Would the step-in work with any of the collateral present in a certain vault ?

In fact, the logic of synthetic asset minting is similar to that of lending platforms. Yupana, for example, is taking a unified Collateral pool.
We can start with uAUX engine. 
Sure, there are many examples. I know Yupana and other projects but is that the state of the art on DeF today (across all chains)? In my mind, if we do this kind of changes, we need to bring the best solution in term of risk management and capital efficiency.
AAVE on ETH is simular too.
I think the risk is same with the current engines.Maybe even smaller.
